Package Overview

The Kashmir houseboats are associated closely with the valley's culture and traditions. Dating back to the British rule, houseboats became home to these people after they were denied land grants in the state. A brilliant idea that started from constructing small boats was later revolutionized with transforming these boats into spacious modern styled floating hotels. Houseboats are all made of the finest cedar wood that follows with intricate walnut wood carvings, paneled walls and tiled baths. Our boats are categorized in the super deluxe category and each boat has an assorted number of three to four bedrooms with a private bath and wash room. The houseboats also have a fine dining area and a lounge cum sitting room. The houseboats come complete with a large front seated balcony, a sun deck and a small kitchenette. We generally have a 24 hour power back up and clean water supply. Each of our houseboats has a cook and a care taker who work for you during your entire stay. All of our houseboats have an attached boat that is placed under your command. These small paddle boats can take you out into the open lake or take you across on your way for any sightseeing. We definitely know that once you visit and experience us, you would always feel yourself back in your second home.Any Medical/rescue evacuation due to mishaps.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Srinagar

Morning pick up from Srinagar Airport drive hotel check in hotel after some rest visit Srinagar, pride of the beautiful valley of Kashmir famous for its lakes dotted with Shikaras and the Mughal Gardens, Shikara Ride to Nehru Park in the evening, Overnight in Houseboat.

Day 2 : Srinagar - Sonmarg - Srinagar

Morning after breakfast drive to Sonmarg the famous tourist spot famous for snow glaciers and snow adventures evening back to Srinagar overnight at Houseboat.

Day 3 : Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar

Morning after breakfast drive to Gulmarg, Meadow of Flowers ( 56 kms /2 hrs) situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, full day at leisure to take the leisurely walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snow capped mountains. Enjoy pony ride or Gondola ride (rope way) to Khilanmarg at your own cost, Return to Srinagar Houseboat.

Day 4 : Srinagar - Pahalgam - Srinagar

Morning after breakfast check out hotel drive to Pahalgam (94 kms/2.5 hrs) Valley of Shepherds. Enroute you will have an rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields reach Pahalgam check in hotel. Also visit Awantipora Ruins & Anantnag Sulphur Springs enroute, Enjoy the bounty of Nature at Pahalgam, located on the bank of beautiful Lidder River, Overnight in Houseboat.

Package valid only for Indian nationals. Non-refundable booking fee of Rs.2000 required to confirm/ hold the booking. Air tickets and hotels are subject to availability. It is mandatory for guests to present valid photo identification at the time of check-in. The identification proofs accepted are Driving License, Voters Card, Passport, Ration Card. Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in. Note-PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card. All transfers and sightseeing are as per the Itinerary/package and in case of Air Conditioned vehicles, It will be switched off in the hills. The inclusion of extra bed with a booking is facilitated with a folding cot or a mattress as an extra bed. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel. The standard check-in time is 1300hrs and the standard check-out time is 1000hrs. Any kind of personal expenses (Laundry, room service etc..) or optional tours/ extra meals are not inclusive in the package cost. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Arihant tours will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason. In case of non-availability of above mentioned hotels similar category hotel will be provided. Arihant tours reserves the right to change/modify or terminate the offer any time at its own discretion and without any prior notice.
