Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) is an island nation south of India. It has a palm-fringed beaches, misty mountains and significant archaeology. Dotted with UNESCO World Heritage sites, the tear-drop shaped island of Sri Lanka has verdant jungle, ancient Buddhist temples, an average of eight hours sunshine a day and superb tea, ideally sipped in a colonial-style guesthouse overlooking a hillside plantation. Fringing the coasts is an array of gently arcing golden-sand beaches. The highlands of Nuwara Eliya and Kandy have some of the most picturesque views.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival - City Tour

  Arrive at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to Kandy.
  Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded, the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65.
  Visit a spice garden at Mawanella and see the luscious cinnamons, cardamoms, pepper plants, etc. You can also purchase your choice of spices. Proceed to Kandy.
  Arrive at Kandy and commence city tour including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, an arts & crafts centre, a gem museum, a lapidary centre and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
  Overnight at hotel.

• Day 2 : Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya

  Buffet breakfast the the hotel
  Check-out from hotel. Transfer to Nuwara Eliya.
  Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. With nearly 60 hectares of exquisite beauty and botanical treasure containing more than 4000 species, this is heaven not only for scientists but also for nature lovers. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Visit Ramboda Falls enroute. There are hundreds of tea factories in the Central Highlands, the Uva region and in the southern parts of Sri Lanka. Some of these factories are situated in breathtakingly beautiful landscape, surrounded by indeed serene green gardens of tea. A casual tourist to this island cannot call his visit complete if he does not pay a visit to some of them. Visitors to any of these centres are normally treated with typical Sri Lankan courtesy and normal given an educative, guided tour on the various stages of tea manufacturing process.
  Visit Seetha Amman Temple, located about a kilometer from Hakgala Botanical Garden. The temple is located in a village called "Seetha Eliya". This place is believed to be where Goddess Sita was held captive by the king Ravana in Lanka in the epic of Ramayan.
  Afterwards, commence city tour of Nuwara Eliya and see many buildings that retain features from the colonial period such as the Queen's Cottage, General's House, Grand Hotel, Galway Forest Lodge, Town Post Office and even new hotels, often built and furnished in the colonial style. Overnight at hotel.
  Optional Activity: Boat ride on Gregory Lake or horseback ride.

• Day 3 : Nuwara Eliya - Bentota - Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery

  Buffet breakfast at the hotel
  Check-out from hotel. Transfer to Bentota.
  Kitulgala is a base for white water rafting, which starts a few kilometers upstream on Kelani River.
  Arrive at Bentota and visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Kosgoda is famous for its turtle hatchery and conservation project. It was established to protect Sri Lanka's turtles from extinction. The hatcheries pay fishermen for eggs that they collect at night along the long sandy beach. Visitors are shown the huge tanks filled with new born but lively hatchlings. After being fed the hatchlings are taken to the sea and released when they are 2- 4 days old. Although October through April is the main laying season, some eggs can be found at Kosgoda throughout the year.
  Overnight at hotel.

• Day 4 : Departure

  Buffet breakfast at the hotel
  Check-out from hotel. Transfer to Colombo.
  Arrive at Colombo and proceed for city tour. See the over 100-year-old Colombo Fort Clock Tower and several other British built colonial buildings. The Pettah market, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the National Museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall – an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China, the new Parliament in Sri Jayawardenepura and the folk art center are some of the places of interest. Shopping can be done at ODEL, House of Fashions and Majestic City malls.
  Transfer to Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport.

Payment Terms & Methods :
The total amount displayed on the Website does not include all applicable government taxes unless mentioned otherwise.

Fare Monster Travels reserves the right to cancel the ticket in case of increase in the fare when the Air Ticket is issued, due to airlines, miscalculation in amount due to server error and from the banks payment gateway issue and forfeit the amount received as Cancellation Charges. You must pay the difference to Fare Monster Travels after the communication to avoid any inconvenience.

At the time of booking, 30% of the entire amount will be charged. The remaining amount should be made one week prior to the travel date. In cases where the amount is not paid one week before the travel date, Fare Monster Travels will be at liberty to cancel such bookings as per the hotel policy. The initial payment made along with the service charge will not be refunded.

Infants must be under 2 year to be eligible for Infant Ticket. Please make sure to provide valid proof-of-age documents while checking in. The infant must be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years of age or older. Each adult can book only one child at a time. To avail Infant Ticket, the infant must be under 24 months of age throughout the entire itinerary of the booking. If the infant is 24 months or above, separate booking must be done as a child.

Child Ticket will be applicable for children aged between 2-12 years. Please make sure to provide valid proof-of-age documents while checking in. The child must be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years of age or older.

Fare Monster Travels is not responsible for the delay or cancellation of flights from the airline’s end. If the flight ticket is cancelled directly from the airline’s official website, office or call centre, the customer needs to inform us for the refund to be processed. Kindly note that Fare Monster Travels do not get any alerts from the airlines directly.

Cancellation & Refund Policy :
The date on which the request to Cancel is received by Fare Monster Travels will determine the cancellations fees applicable.
For cancellations before 60 days or more of the date of departure, 25% of the tour cost will be retained as cancellation charges.
For cancellations before 30 days or more of the date of departure, 50% of the tour cost will be retained as cancellation charges.
For cancellations before 15 days or more of the date of departure, 100% of the tour cost will be retained as cancellation charges.
Fare Monster Travels will process the refund only after getting the cancellation request/ claim from the customer/ travel agent/ corporate company via our website or mail. Refunds will be processed as per the airline and hotel fare rules and cancellation policy.
The refund will be credited to the same account from which the payment has been made. The processing time for refunds may vary depending on the mode of payment, bank, etc. Refunds in credit cards may take duration of 72 hours and up to 7 days in case of net banking transactions. The Wallet amount once used for any transaction cannot be transferred to your bank account. However, it can be used for future booking with us. The refund will be processed after deducting the convenience fee which is mentioned above.
