Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Calicut - Wayanad (90 KM/ 2 Hrs)

  Arrival at Calicut Railway station / Airport and transfer to hotel (90 KM/2 hrs). En route you visit Lakkidi view point and Pookotu Lake Lakkidi is a city located in the southern part of India in the state of Kerala and is considered as the gateway to Wayanad district. The city of Lakkidi is popular for mountain peaks, dense forest covers and streams surrounding the region. Pookotu Lake is Surrounded by densely forested hills Pookat lake enchants you with its sheer natural splendour. A freshwater lake, Pookotu Lake makes for one unforgettable picnic out in the woods of Wayanad. You could simply sit on the banks of the river and continue being mesmerized or hire a boat and get rowing in the lake through a maze of dazzling blue water lilies. Lunch at your own. • Day 2 : Wayanad - Sightseeing

  Early morning (6 am) visit to Muthanga wildlife sanctuary, (The entry tickets to the sanctuary is available from 7 am onwards ,and its is the best time to see animals in the sanctuary) , breakfast on board and later drive to Edakkal caves and the full day tour ends with visit to Chembra peak (subject to time of arrival). ( If you opt to visit in the morning suggest to carry packed breakfast) Muthanga wild life sanctuary also known as waynad national park , located 16 KM east of sulthan batheri. The sanctuary established in 1973 and it borders on the parks of Nagarhole and Bandhipur of Karnataka on the northeast and mudumalai of tamilnadu on the south east. The sanctuary is Rich in bio-diversity and it is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The Edakkal Cave is 96ft long, 22ft wide and 30ft high cleft formed by the vertical split of a rocky mountain. The rock wall is etched with carvings depicting human and animal figures and objects of human use. These carvings speak of a highly civilized people of pre-historic age, and have drawn the serious attention of archaeologists and historians worldwide. Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad district of Kerala. It is 2100m high and is a trekkers paradise. The whole of the Wayandu district can be seen from the peak when it is not foggy. On the way to the top there is a heart shaped lake which has water throughout the year. Lunch at your own. Overnight Stay at Resort.
• Day 3 : Wayanad - Sightseeing

  Early morning visit to Sunrise Valley*, Its a great place to watch the rising and setting sunset amidst dramatic mountain scenery *(To visit Sunrise valley you must ready at 4:30 am for the journey). Later drive back to hotel. After breakfast proceed to visit Kuruva Island and Pazhassi Tomb. Pazhassi tomb is built as a memorial for the Veera Pazhassi Raja. Veera Pazhassi Raja who was famously known as the Lion of Kerala, was a key player in the Indian independence revolution against British.Pazhassi Raja, heir of Kottayam royal family, was one among the pioneers in revolt against the East India Company. Kuruva dweep consists of a set of islands inside Kabini river. Nearly 1000 acres of dense ever green forest, no human habitation and a possibility of spotting rare birds, herbs and flowers. Kabini bifurcates here to form one major island and when water level is low, some more minor islands emerge around this one. Lunch at your own. Later drive back to resort. Overnight Stay at Resort.

• Day 4 : ayanad - Calicut

  After breakfast proceed to Calicut for sightseeing and shopping in Calicut covering Kappad beach, Museum. Lunch en route from local restaurant. Overnight stay Calicut.
• Day 5 : Departure

  After Breakfast drop to Kozhikode Railway station / Airport.
