Two of the most famous holy shrines of North India are the Gangotri and Yamunotri. Gangotri temple town is famous for the 18th century Gangotri temple. Yamunotri the temple is comparatively new since it was damaged by the fury of weather elements. Here, there is a perennial hot water spring "Tapt Kund" or "Surya Kund".
Yamunotri and Gangotri are the initiate designations of 2 rivers Yamuna and Ganga respectively. Therefore, these 2 spots hold a high position in Hinduism. As per Hindu myths, Gangotri is a destination where King Bhagirath executes penance after which River Ganga came down on the earth. Yamunotri is the destination where pilgrims look for the blessings of Yamuna, who is the sister of Yama, the God of death.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi to Haridwar (230 kms/6hrs).

  On arrival at Delhi airport or railway station, meet our representative who will be there for your welcome and then drive you to Haridwar. On reaching, check in at the already booked hotel, twilight go for Ganga Aarti at Har-Ki-Pori, overnight stay at Hotel.

• Day 2 : Haridwar to Barkot (220km / 8 hrs).

  Break of day drive to Barkot through Dehradun and Mussoorie. On the entrance, check in at pre-booked hotel or camp for a relaxed overnight stay.

• Day 3 : Barkot to Yamunotri to Barkot (12km / 05 hrs. / 12 km trek).

  Again after an early breakfast go away for Hanuman Chatti (Drive 32 kms) to set up your trip. Take a local jeep to reach Phool Chatti to shorten your trek by 5 kms. On entrance begin your day on a hard trek of 7 kms one side. Get there at Yamunotri and pray at temple and also take a holy Achman to set up your most sacred pilgrimage to Char Dhams. Return to Phool Chatti in the twilight to come back to Hotel or Camp resort for dinner and relaxation. Overnight stay at Barkot.

• Day 4 : Barkot to Uttarkashi (120km / 5 hrs).

  Break of day drive to Uttarkashi, which is about 82 kms away and takes approximately 04 hours to reach. On reaching, check in at the previously booked hotel. The twilight is free for visiting Kashi Vishwanth Temple and Shakti Temple. Overnight stay at Hotel. Uttarkashi is a town in Uttarakhand, India. It is positioned on the banks of Bhagirathi River at a height of 1352 m above sea level. The place is known for housing many temples and ashrams.

• Day 5 : Uttarakashi to Gangotri to Uttarakashi (100km / 4hrs)

  After mealtime go away for Gangotri and on entrance take a holy dip in the River sacred Ganges, also known as Bhagirathi at its origin. Do Pooja after that and relax for sometime in the stunning environs. Come back to Hotel in the day to relax in the bright sunlight and some of wonderful views of the eye-catching valley. In the twilight perform the Ganga Aarti at resorts own riverbank. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

• Day 6 : Uttarakashi to Haridwar (180km / 7Hrs).

  After in the near the beginning hours morning breakfast go away for Uttarkashi, on the way Tea or Coffee and Lunch at Chamba. Take it easy of the day will be at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Haridwar.

  Morning drive to Delhi upon arrival Delhi direct transfer to Delhi railway station/ airport to board train or flight for onward destination.
