Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Yogyakarta City Tour - Prambanan Temple

  We start the trip for Yogyakarta city tour. Visit Sultan Royal Palace, Water Castle (Taman Sari), Batik Home Industry and Silverware at Kotagede. Then visit the beautiful hindhu Temple, Prambanan. Prambanan temple is one of the most beautiful Hindus temple of Indonesia with such great sculptures all over the building, the local peoples also called the temple as the Roro Jonggrang, the temple of the slender virgin. According to the local believe, the temple was a beautiful virgin who was cursed after ignoring her promise.

• Day 2 : Borobudur Temple - Dieng Plateau

  At 6:00 am start the tour, today we discovery of history of Borobudur Temple, the most famous of Indonesia's temples. This huge Buddhist pyramid is a Buddhism's largest shrine in Indonesia, built in the 9th century. Located north west of Jogjakarta, Borobudur was completed in the second half of the ninth century. Borobudur was unknown and neglected for almost a thousand years, covered under thick layers of volcanic ash. From a far Borobudur looks like a huge but ordinary stone construction. But from nearby we can see that it consists of hundreds of wonderfully detailed statues and sculptures, representing Buddhist teachings mixed with images of Javanese life of a thousand years ago. We will also visit the mendut temple, 2.9 km east of Borobudur discovered in 1834. Afterward drive to Dieng Plateau, and exploring the oldest Hindu temple complex in Java will be enjoyed and visited. Some still active craters and color lakes are the next visits. While taking a deep breath of morning fresh air, you could enjoy the morning life of Dieng’s people starting their work in their vegetable plantation. Back to Yogyakarta.
