The flow of water over the Victoria Falls is greatest from February to June following the summer rains, but they are a magnificent sight at any time of year.
Day 2 : Zambezi River
At leisure to explore the small town of Victoria Falls on the banks of the Zambezi River.
Many optional activities are available - such canoeing in the gentler rapids above the falls, abseiling or white water rafting in the turbulent gorge below the falls (grade 5). You can also watch bungi jumping from Victoria Falls Bridge.
Day 3 : Hwange National Park
Today transfer from Victoria Falls for 2.5 to 5-hours (depending on location) to your safari lodge in Hwange National Park, the largest game park in Zimbabwe.
Check in, settle in and relax in this remote wildlife area before enjoying a thrilling safari drive in an open top game viewing vehicle accompanied by a lodge ranger. With over 100 different species of mammals, including huge herds of elephants and many predators, a marvellous wildlife experience is guaranteed. The bird life is also outstanding.
Day 4 : Hwange National Park
Today is devoted to game viewing in Hwange National Park, which is the size of Belgium.
Rise early to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you enjoy a thrilling open top game drive in Hwange National Park with your ranger. Covering a vast area of over 5,600 square miles (14,600 square kilometres) and in close proximity to the arid Kalahari desert, this remote wildlife sanctuary is renowned for its enormous population of elephants, as well as vast herds of buffalo, zebra and giraffe. It is home to many predators including lions, hyena and endangered wild dogs which are thriving in the region.
The rest of the morning is free to relax at your lodge, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. Enjoy another spectacular African sunset and relax around an open fire, before dining under the stars.
Day 5 : Chobe National Park
This morning we leave Hwange National Park and transfer 4 to 5-hours to the Botswana border at Kasane. After completing immigration formalities, continue to your game lodge near the Chobe River.
Chobe National Park is Botswana’s premier wildlife reserve and is uniquely situated at the confluence of the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers, where four African countries meet – Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
After checking in to your lodge, enjoy a boat ride on the Chobe River, which is home to some of Botswana’s most spectacular wildlife, as well as abundant bird life. Game viewing opportunities should present themselves almost immediately in this vast game sanctuary and hopefully you will see elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, antelope and other river-based wildlife today. Afterwards dine in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide.
Day 6 : Chobe National Park
Rise at dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day and enjoy a thrilling open-top game viewing drive with a lodge ranger.
Chobe National Park is home to vast herds of buffalo and elephant, as well as numerous other species which roam in profusion and diversity. During the dry season, vast elephant herds migrate from both south and north to congregate in their thousands along the Chobe River – the largest concentration of elephants in the whole of Africa. Also hope to see lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons and many other interesting animals before returning to your lodge.
In the afternoon, enjoy another game-viewing boat ride on the Chobe River.
Day 7 : Savuti
Enjoy a final early morning game drive in Chobe National Park before breakfast and your 15-minute transfer to Kasane Airport for your light aircraft flight to Savuti.
You will be met at the landing strip and transferred to your lodge in Botswana’s premier land-based game park, situated on the vast Savuti Plains surrounded by open savanna and camelthorn trees. After settling in, enjoy an afternoon game drive with your ranger to view elephants and other wildlife.
Day 8 : Savuti Plains
The Savuti Plains offer world-acclaimed game viewing – including the famous Savute lion prides, leopard, wild dogs, bull elephants, black-backed jackal, bat-eared foxes, hyena, cheetah, tsessebe, kudu, impala, ostrich and much more.
The summer rains bring a feast for lion, hyena and cheetah, as migrating zebra and wildebeest assemble in a chaotic pattern on the marsh. Cape buffalo herds arrive and migrant birds swell the resident population of over 300 different species, making this a bird watchers delight. Carmine bee-eaters perch on the back of kori bustards, red-crested korhaans plummet from the sky in daring mating displays and marabou stork roost in the trees whilst woodland kingfishers sing you to sleep.
Game drives are conducted twice a day (early morning and late afternoon) in open-top safari vehicles. Each evening enjoy Savuti’s enchanting sunsets, before dining overlooking the waterhole.
Day 9 : Okavango Delta
After some final game viewing on the Savuti Plains, transfer to the landing strip for your
light aircraft flight to your game lodge in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta.
You will be met at the landing strip and transferred to your Okavango Delta game lodge. Settle in and relax in this pristine water wilderness and enjoy game viewing under spectacular blue African skies before dinner.

Today transfer from your lodge to your wilderness fly camp (with bush ablutions) in the Okavango Delta, where your dome tents will be erected for you.
