Goree Island is a small island and falls to the south of Cape Verde Peninsula, Senegal, Africa. There are a number of museums on the island that attract many tourists. The colonial remnants from the slavery era are not only a special feature of Goree Island but are its exclusive identity. Maison des Esclaves or Slave House and Fort d’Estree are the two historic buildings of the island. Goree Island has a great historical significance and that is why it is one of the most frequented places by the tourists of Reunion Island.
