The Addo Elephant Park, situated at a close distance from Port Elizabeth, is famous for the African Elephants which number at around 350. This is remarkable as the park contained only 7 elephants when the park was proclaimed in 1931. The park has also become a safe haven for the grey leviathans which were target of relentless hunting.
