Biking in Tenerife

A one week trip with 5 days riding (if 4 people) mostly off roading in various terrains which give all catagories of riders something to challenge them and really enjoy the beauty of the island from a different perspective. Here's a unique opportunity to enjoy the drama and excitement of both on and off road biking in the balmy climate of the Canary Islands. We offer you a unique opportunity to explore the Canary Islands by off-road routes; routes known to experienced guides who have explored the Canaries by bike for many years. The senior guide has personally designed our routes for your enjoyment and to meet all levels of experience. The most unusual aspect of riding in Tenerife is the rapid scenery changes - from desert-like to mountains and craters to thick woodland or open plains, all within the space of a few kilometres. Emphasis is placed on off-road riding, some of the smaller roads don't even appear on maps! There are thousands of kilometres of off-road tracks on the island and the surfaces include sand tracks, soft and hard rock tracks and different coloured volcanic ash roads. Tenerife also features spectacular hill climbs up to 12 miles long and 8500 feet high, with equally brilliant descents! There's also plenty of ex-quarries where you can technical ride if you wish. September 19th 2006 spain has brought in a new law banning off roading from forestal areas so be prepared for different routes.
