Founded over 35 years ago by serving and retired police officers, ex-service personnel and friends, The War Research Society has taken thousands of pilgrims, veterans, widows and children to visit the battlefields, memorials and last resting places of the fallen, combining this with interesting guided historical tours of the areas of the First and Second World Wars in Northern France, Belgium, Turkey and Italy. Our Second World Tours visit, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland, Finland, Norway, Italy, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Singapore and Thailand.
We also cover earlier campaigns such as the Battle of Waterloo and Crimea; and for several years have organised tours to Boer and Zulu War battle sites in South Africa, and to Russia.
