Backcountry guiding in Hokkaido, Japan since 2003, BDT offers the best backcountry ski and snowboard guided backcountry tours from single day to multi-day tours. What started in 1998 with a single guide, based out of the Black Diamond Lodge, quickly grew with the demand to include a roster of world class guides offering lift assisted powder hunting, backcountry tours, and multi-day trips. As the legend of Hokkaido’s powder spread the crowds began to increase which pushed us to expand our operation to offer heli, cat, and snowmobiling in private zones for the best powder skiing and snowboarding in Northern Japan.
