Jumeirah Lake Towers of Dubai are a conglomeration of 79 towers, erected along the edges of four manmade lakes (Lake Almas West, Lake Almas East, Lake Elucio, and Lake Allure) along with eight JLT Embankment Towers fronting Jumeirah Islands. A mix of high-end residential apartments and hotels, this place is a striking feature on the map of Dubai.
Clusters
The towers have been categorized as 26 clusters, named from A to Z. Each cluster has got its own retail waterfront and parking space. Every tower has been officially named and numbered. Apart from the central one with 66 floors, all the other towers have 35-45 floors each.
Almas and the Jewelry Business
The tallest tower, placed in the center has been named Almas- the Arabic word of Diamond. The floors have been occupied by member of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and house the head office of Dubai Diamond Exchange. All the residents here are jewelry traders and manufacturers. Furthermore, the basement of the tower serves as the main vault for diamonds.
Amenities
Spread in an area of 1 km2, the JLT has various facilities, such as, a police station, 3 mosques, civil defense station and a university amongst others.
