Standing tall as an exemplary of modern Islamic architecture, the Jumeirah Mosque is a prominent landmark in Dubai. It has been built in the medieval Fatimid tradition with intricate patterns adorning the walls. The snowy-white color of the mosque is soothing for the eyes, just like a place of prostration should be. It is believed that this beautiful structure is the most photographed mosque in all of Dubai.
Jumeirah Mosque Tour
It is one of the few mosques, where non-Muslims are allowed to enter during specific hours. They can take a tour organized by Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding as part of its efforts to bring together different religions and create a better understanding about Islam. There is no fee for taking this tour. Unlike most others, this mosque has no restrictions on photography. The 1 hour and 30 minutes tour combines sight-seeing and fact finding for tourists and ends with a Q & A round.
