The climate of Ukraine is generally of the continental type. The weather has warm summers and cold winters. Only the climate of Crimean coast differs, where Mediterranean climate sustains rather than continental climate. In most of the coastal areas of Ukraine, the mean temperature remains around 23ºC in summer and dips to almost 6ºC in the winter. Average temperatures of summers and winters rise higher in summer and touch the freezing point in winters. Rainfall occurs at Crimea coast mostly in between December and January. Elsewhere in Ukraine, precipitation occurs mainly in the months of July and August.
